Agricultural safety sites grow on the Web

Article Abstract:

Information on agricultural safety and health are now available on the Internet. The sites provide information on farm-related injuries, farm health and safety research studies, ergonomics, fire and electrical safety, personal protective equipment and workers compensation. All of these information can be accessed from several sites such as the Uniform Resource Locator of the University of California at http://www-ch.ucdavis.edu/www/niosh/niosh.html and the Farm Safety 4 Just Kids at http://www.fs4jk.org/.

It's time to explore 'Your Business, Your Health.' (World Wide Web site)

Article Abstract:

'Your Business, Your Health' is a World Wide Web site that offers businesses and companies accurate and up-to-date information on health promotion programs and other health-related issues. The Web site, which was developed by Mark Kittleson, Dale Ritzel and Mike Olpin, features a listserv that enables users to send queries and get feedback. The site also offers links to health magazines and journals and topics involving women's health, exercise, nutrition and tobacco, alcohol and drug use.

Uncover new information on material safety data sheets

Article Abstract:

Employers can visit World Wide Web sites that offer information on material safety data sheets (MSDS) to facilitate compliance with the Hazard Communication Standard set by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Among such Web sites are those of Kansas State University, the University of Utah, the University of Georgia, Fisher Scientific, and Macauarie University. The Enviro-Net Web site is also a useful source of MSDS information.
