Are skills labs a true training ground?

Article Abstract:

The debate on whether the practice hours spent in the skills laboratories should be considered for the registration of the student to qualify as a nurse is presented. The NMC council's rules and regulations state that 2,300 practice hours have to be completed by students and the time spent in the skills lab is not considered for the registration.

Paying the price of the NMC fee rise

Article Abstract:

The rise in registration fees by the NMC observed many resenting voices across the UK. The NMC argues that the rise is necessary to meet a yearly deficit of 4.5 million pounds sterling or it would have to risk insolvency.
