B cell memory: sapping the T cell

Article Abstract:

Research reveals that the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule-associated protein is involved in the maintenance of antibody levels and memory B cells. The protein binds to the leukocytic receptors and inhibit the receptor interaction with tyrosine phosphatases. Deficiency in this protein leads to immune deficiency.

Eradication of systemic B-cell tumors by genetically targeted human T lymphocytes co-stimulated by CD80 and interleukin-15

Article Abstract:

Research indicates that the interleukin-15 expanded T cells survive in tumor-bearing severe combined immunodeficiency-Beige mice and mediate eradication of the disseminated intramedullary tumors. Furthermore, transducer T cells from chronic lymphocytic leukemia can lyse autologous tumor cells.
