Bodybuilding slang

Article Abstract:

The meanings of bodybuilding slang heard in gyms are presented. These include the word 'burn' which refers to the pain produced by the buildup of lactic acid and other metabolites in the muscle, 'rep' which is short for repetition and 'six-pack' referring to well-developed abs.
