Case 35-2005: A 56-year-old woman with breast cancer and isolated tumor cells in a sentinel lymph node

Article Abstract:

A case study of the 56-year old woman suffering from invasive breast cancer with minimal tumor burden in sentinel lymph node is presented. Experts recommended axillary-lymph-node dissection to complete staging and refine the risk assessment, since the demonstrating of additional lymph-node involvement would strengthen recommendations for chemotherapy.
