The "New Team" Triad

Article Abstract:

A hospital in Tarpon Springs, FL, developed a team method to meet increasing demands on its nursing staff. Gloves and the questions at hand

Article Abstract:

Glove use by nurses has increased dramatically in recent years, stimulated by fear of HIV infection and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 98% are latex, made from natural rubber. Latex can trigger severe allergic reactions in health care workers and patients. Concern about effectiveness/integrity of gloves for health care is growing.
