Clinical outcomes and costs with the levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system or hysterectomy for treatment of menorrhagia: randomized trial 5-year follow-up

Article Abstract:

Menorrhagia is a state in which women report heavy menstrual bleeding. The treatment suggested for this health problem is either levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system (LNG-IUS) or hysterectomy but in the latter method there could be complications and also it involves higher costs.

An 80-year-old woman with vaginal prolapse

A brief discussion on the pathophysiology, epidemiology, and assessment of vaginal prolapse providing options for treatment is presented. Mrs. H is a married and sexually active 80-year--old woman who reported symptoms of tissue coming out of her vagina.
