Debate escalates on source of sub-Saharan AfricaEs AIDS epidemic

Article Abstract:

Sub-Saharan Africa has two-thirds of the world's 40 million HIV/AIDS cases but experts are still debating whether the culprit behind the region's growing statistics could be unsafe injections or unprotected sex. On the other hand, it can be tricky to trace the transmission source of an HIV-infected patient as the infections of 14 HIV-positive children in the region were attributed to 'inexplicable causes'.
