Detecting pain in people with profound learning disabilities

Article Abstract:

There are many challenges associated with pain assessment in people with severe learning disabilities and multiple disabilities. Pain assessment based on non-verbal communication has proved effective with neonates, and it may be possible to transfer this to adults.
