Developing advanced nursing practice roles in cancer care

Article Abstract:

Nurses in cancer care are at the forefront of developing advanced nursing practice (ANP), but there is no national agreement in the UK in relation to the education and clinical skills required for this practice. The Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) is working on proposals to establish a framework whereby ANP would be registered and those working at this level would be known as advanced nurse practitioners.
