Effect of prone positioning on clinical outcomes in children with acute lung injury: A randomized controlled trial

Article Abstract:

The hypothesis that at the end of 28 days infants and children with acute lung injury treated with prone positioning would have more ventilator-free days than those treated with supine positioning is tested. The results revealed that prone positioning does not significantly reduce ventilator-free days or improve other clinical outcomes in pediatric patients with acute lung injury.

Impact of participant and physician intervention preferences on randomized trials

Article Abstract:

The study aims at whether preferences affect recruitment to trials and outcomes in trials. It was found that preferences influence whether people participate in randomized trials, but there is little evidence that they significantly affect validity.
