Emergency care how A&E nurses are hitting the target: in the drive to ensure that all patients are in and out of A&E as fast as possible, nurses' roles are changing rapidly

Article Abstract:

A&E is a part of complex and interconnected network of care in the hospital and the community changing its system requires appropriate adjustments. The A&E targets have eliminated some of the restrictions on nurses' practice, with the focus shifting towards competencies and away from traditional professional boundaries.

Increased amount of TV exposure at hospital does not promote greater understanding of nursing. There are times when media coverage is a way of finding out what other activities are happening around the hospital.
