Article Abstract:

An overview is presented on the drugs available for managing HIV infection and preventing it from blossoming into full-blown AIDS. The challenges faced in making these drugs available to all who need it, especially the poor is highlighted. The cost of these protease inhibitors are quite expensive, hence shutting out nearly thirty million people worldwide with HIV who cannot afford it.
