Exposure to blood or body fluids: Management for health care

Article Abstract:

Health care workers are at risk of exposure to blood and body fluids from their patients through needlestick injuries or contamination of mucous membrane. Around 100,000 needlestick accidents occur in the UK every year while anecdotal evidence suggests that the same number are unreported.
