A 64-year-old woman with a thyroid nodule

Article Abstract:

A case of 64-year-old woman from Brazil with an incidentally discovered thyroid nodule is presented. The findings suggest that euthyroid patients with cytologically benign nodules should be followed up without TSH-suppressive thyroxine therapy, as there is no evidence from randomized controlled trails that such therapy decreases nodule size.
