Making a difference through acceptance

Mental health workers discuss the therapy techniques they used to deal with a family in crisis. Techniques based on homeostasis and paradox therapy are explained. Homeostasis is when a family in in turmoil and a therapist tries to restore some balance into the situation. Paradoxical therapy is when a therapist gets directly involved in a situation but allows the patient to decide on what steps to take. A case study is discussed in detail.
