How to motivate workers to wear PPE

Article Abstract:

Managers and safety professionals from various companies have determined ways to encourage workers to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Boeing safety and health director Jim Vinson, for instance, believes that workers should be involved in the selection of PPE while Dupont Chemical ergonomics specialist Lem Odom advocates peer-to-peer training and management programs. Behavior-based safety has also become a popular practice in the industry where employees encourage their co-workers to maintain safe work practices.
