The female prison population in America has more than doubled in the past decade and a vast majority of such women do not get the right kind of help and support they need during or after their incarceration. The Women's Prison Association (WPA), a New York City-based advocacy group and other few groups provide support programs to keep women form returning to prison again and again.

The tsunami has caused major destruction to life and property and to overcome this, the U.S. citizens have already contributed $200 million towards its relief fund but still need more funds to fight the diseases that have spread due to tsunami. Providing relief to the needy is not an easy task and requires dedication and continuous effort for a long period of time.
