ISEA program strives to reduce construction injuries

Article Abstract:

It is common for employers of road construction workers not to enforce the use of personal protective equipment, according to research commissioned by the International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA). In response to this problem, the ISEA has launched a number of initiatives, including producing a newsletter to ensure that road constructors are aware of latest developments in personal protective equipment.

Article Abstract:

It is important for executives to be aware that the corporate culture created by their decisions can have a significant impact on employee safety. Executives must take account of the cost of safety as a full element with other economic drivers of corporate success.

The eyewash imperative: placing shower and eyewash stations isn't as tough a call as many safety managers believe

Article Abstract:

Eyewash units and deluge showers should be located no more than 10 seconds' travel time away from a potential hazard. There are three main types of eyewash unit, and the choice of unit will be determined by the drinking water supply in the facility.
