Improved classification of recent HIV-1 infection by employing a two-stage sensitive/less-sensitive test strategy

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on serologic techniques for recent HIV-1 infection classification. The development of sensitive/less sensitive test strategy which includes an assay for rapid identification of people with recent infection followe d by an enzyme immunoassay with exquisite specificity is described.

HIV/AIDS surveillance in the United States, 1981-2001

Research has been conducted on HIV/AIDS surveillance in the United States. The review of the HIV/AIDS reporting system which includes the methods and infrastructure for reporting, reporting legal basis, data quality and completeness evaluation and dissemination and analysis of reports is presented.
