The LCP is a legal document facilitates and focuses multiprofessional communication and documentation, integrating national guidelines into clinical practice.

The National Burn Care Review Committee report considers the psychosocial and psychological impact of burn injuries to be of great importance. Health care professionals can select from a number of psychosocial interventions to be used for the treatment of patients with burn injuries.
