Internet provides easy access to OSHA and MSHA

Article Abstract:

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) now have their World Wide Web sites at http://www.osha.gov and http://www.msha.gov, respectively. The OSHA site provides, among others, entry to the OSHA Office Directory and latest information on OSHA such as standards and directives. On the other hand, the MSHA site offers MSHA new releases, special reports, speeches, congressional testimony as well as safety and health and mining and injury information.

The changing face of America's urban workforce

Article Abstract:

The new look of American work force is presented, with rural immigrants shifting to cities for employment. With most of the immigrants representing construction industry and more fatal injuries expected in this region, the new challenges faced by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), are discussed.

OSHA FY 2007 budget request pegged at $483.7 million

Article Abstract:

The details of budget of the United States for fiscal year 2007 are presented. The Bush Administration requested $483.7 million for Occupational Safety and Health Administration and $288 million for Mine Safety and Health, in fiscal year 2007 budget.
