Is the online drugs market putting patients at risk?

Article Abstract:

The World Health Organization, and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) advise great caution about buying medicines, which are becoming increasingly available over the Internet, and state that it should not be done without a valid prescription. A discussion on the growth of online pharmacies, problems with regulation, and the dangers of self-prescribing is presented.

The implications of reusing single-use medical devices

Article Abstract:

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has updated its advice on the implications of reusing single-use medical devices, and a discussion is presented on what constitutes a single-use device, the implications of reuse, and the legal and safety issues. Reuse is unsafe for several reasons including cross-infection, patient injury, and chemical burns.
