Lightning strikes twice: electricity from two directions may give superior pain relief

Article Abstract:

Interferential therapy is one of the most effective methods of treating pains and injuries suffered by athletes. The therapy uses two electrode pads attached to two separate circuits which have different frequency loads. Instances when the therapy should be used are presented.

Iliotibial band friction syndrome is an overuse injury that causes knee pain. Several tests can be used to diagnose the condition. Stretching exercises to loosen the iliotibial band are described.
