An important strategy in living with chronic illness is to know as much as possible about the illness. Doctors, libraries, and national organizations such as the American Heart Association can provide information. Proper diet and exercise, and staying connected to friends and family are also key.

Living alone: being alone doesn't have to mean being lonely

Article Abstract:

People living alone can avoid feelings of isolation or boredom by increasing their social and physical activity, getting a pet or taking up a hobby. Seniors can join senior centers, find work or a volunteer job, or take some college courses.
