Some issues to be considered by physicians while making the transition from tenant to property owner with their growing practice are mentioned. These include clear title, zoning, parking spaces, and lease agreement that help the physicians in making decision on whether to purchase in which they have been a tenant, or build at another location.

The new Republican majority in Congress favors health insurance tax credits to address the problem of the uninsured Americans. Individual tax credits of up to $1000 proposed in 2002 by the Bush administration are not enough to encourage lower-middle-income Americans to purchase insurance if they have not already purchased.
