Management of cervical cerclage and preterm premature rupture of the membranes: should the stitch be removed?

Article Abstract:

It may not be necessary to remove a cerclage if a pregnant woman who has one has premature rupture of fetal membranes. Premature birth is often caused by a cervix that opens prematurely. Cerclage is a procedure to keep the cervix closed until the normal delivery date.

Nitric oxide is involved in the release of prolactin, which is a hormone that stimulates the production of milk Nitric oxide also relaxes smooth muscle, and regulates blood, nutrient, and oxygen flow in the placenta.

Secretory component: a potential regulator of endometrial-decidual prostaglandin production in early human pregnancy

Article Abstract:

Secretory component appears to maintain pregnancy by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins. It is produced by the decidua, which is one of the layers of tissue inside the uterus.
