Monoclonal antibody therapy for cancer

Article Abstract:

This review discusses several of the ways unconjugated and conjugated monoclonal antibodies can be deployed in the therapeutic modality for cancer. Research shows unconjugated antibodies are effective against breast cancer, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia whereas the conjugated antibodies are effective against non-Hodgkin's lymphoma and acute myeloid leukemia.

Cardiotoxicity induced by chemotherapy and antibody therapy

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to present the effects of chemotherapy, antibody-based therapy, radiotherapy, and surgery, on cardiovascular system. Results show that these therapies induce cardiotoxicity in the patients, which also depends on the patient's age, underlying cardiovascular status, and genetic background, and of course the route of drug administration and dosage.

The current status of hematopoietic cell transplantation

Article Abstract:

This review describes the clinical principles of transplantation and the results of hematopoietic cell transplantation in the therapy of life-threatening diseases of the lymphohematopoietic system. Data show that the application of the therapy has resulted in cure rates exceeding 85% in cases of severe aplastic anemia, thalassemia, and chronic myelogenous lukemia.
