Neutrophil activation in preeclampsia and isolated intrauterine growth restriction

Article Abstract:

Fetal growth restriction appears to involve the activation of immune system cells called neutrophils. This also occurs in a serious complication of pregnancy called preeclampsia and may indicate that both conditions are caused by an abnormal placenta.

A randomized trial that compared intravaginal misoprostol and dinoprostone vaginal insert in pregnancies at high risk of fetal distress

Article Abstract:

The safety and efficacy of misoprostal and dinoprostone in pregnancies at high risk of fetal distress is discussed. Misoprostol and dinoprostone are equally safe for the induction of labor in pregnancies that are at high risk of fetal distress.

Protein Z in patients with pregnancy complications

Article Abstract:

A study was undertaken to evaluate the association between protein Z concentration and pregnancy complications. It was concluded that protein Z deficiency was associated with late fetal demise and intrauterine growth restriction.
