New mercury fish advisory, emission plan scrutinized

Article Abstract:

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration had issued a warning that almost all fish and shellfish contained traces of mercury, which can lead to serious health problems, especially for expectant and nursing mothers. The mercury policy project had recommended that children eat 'less' fish than adults.

San Francisco targets black infant mortality

Article Abstract:

San Francisco had decided to create a sense of community unity in an effort to reduce infant mortality disparities. Despite having the best infant mortality rates, black babies died at a rate up to two times that of white babies.
