Let your workers lead the way: participatory ergonomics

Article Abstract:

Participatory ergonomics emphasizes the involvement of workers in the formulation of workplace solutions designed to address their bodily capabilities and limitations. Top management investments in expensive equipments and workplace implements are meaningless without worker input. It is only when employees help in making decisions concerning their jobs and what tools to use that they become aware of safety as a self-responsibility.
