Picture perfect

Article Abstract:

Modern matron Ann Gibbins and her team at Chesterfield PCT's specialist learning disability service won the NT Award's Essence of Care category for devising a pictorial nutritional toolkit that has enabled people with learning disabilities to take more control over their dietary choices. This toolkit is being used to explain health-related matters to patients and has enabled them to express preferences for different activities and when they want to undertake them.
