Practical measures to ensure health and safety in theatres

Article Abstract:

Health and safety measures that are essential for nurses are described. For controlling infections the theater should be managed by a designated person, equipments should be inspected, protective clothing should be used and waste should be disposed. Nurses should follow appropriate policies and procedures for the benefit of all the concerned persons.

Nurses let down by patchy hospital cleaning

Article Abstract:

A Patients Association survey in health care-associated infections revealed that the hospital cleaning services are not in place in one-third of hospitals in England. It is found that nurses are doing their best in the battle against infection but are being let down by cleaners.
