Pre-B-cell colony-enhancing factor is a secreted cytokine-like protein from the human amniotic epithelium

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to determine whether pre-B-cell colony-enhancing factor is a secreted cytokine in the human amnion and to study its chemotaxic and antiapoptotic properties. Pre-B-cell colony-enhancing factor is a secreted protein from amniotic epithelial cells and it has no chemotaxic effects but it is antiapoptotic for both amniotic epithelial cells and fibroblasts.

Contact paracrine inhibitory networks within human gestational tissues

Article Abstract:

The effects of separating chorion from decidua on the production of cytokines and prostaglandins are determined. The results have shown that the inhibitory mechanisms are reduced and lead to a marked increase in cytokine and prostaglandin production by the choriodecidua, which in turn permits or drives the mechanisms of parturition.

The effect of phosphoramidon on inflammation-mediated preterm delivery in a mouse model

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to determine the effect of phosphoramidon on inflammation-mediated preterm delivery in a mouse model. It revealed that the administration of metallopeptidase inhibitor results in a decrease in the rate of preterm delivery.
