Predictors of in-hospital mortality in patients with acute ischemic stroke treated with thrombolytic therapy

Article Abstract:

Predictors of in-hospital mortality in patients with ischemic stroke treated with intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (tPA) within a pooled analysis of large German stroke registers are investigated. Disturbance of consciousness and increasing age are associated with increased in-hospital mortality in patients with ischemin stroke.

Lack of improvement in patients with acute stroke after treatment with thromolytic therapy

Article Abstract:

Predictors of lack of improvement at 24 hours after receiving alteplase and their relationship with poor outcome at 3 months are evaluated. Lack of improvement at 24 hours is associated with poor outcome of death at 3 months, is found among patients with acute stroke being treated with thrombolytic therapy.

Antiphospholipid antibodies and subsequent thrombo-occlusive events in patients with ischemic stroke

Article Abstract:

The presence of antiphospholipid antibodies (aPL) in ischemic stroke patients has been analyzed. It has been reported that the presence of aPL does not help in predicting the increase or decrease in stroke risk.
