Article Abstract:

Guidance on the correct use of central venous catheters is presented. Instructions on insertion and replacement of catheters are given and the best practices to minimise risk of bloodstream infection or thrombosis are explained.

Preventing health care-associated infections during enteral feeding

Article Abstract:

Since the 1800s, enteral feeding is practiced in hospitals for patients who were unable to feed themselves. The National Institute for Clinical Excellence has presented guidelines for preventing infections in primary and community care.
