Scale down bariatric surgery's risks

Article Abstract:

Bariatric surgery complications could be separated into those associated with the operation and those associated with alterations in the GI anatomy. Nurses should advise patients to adhere to certain guidelines with respect to eating habits, diet adherence, regular exercise, and wound care, and patients who are well informed and motivated usually progress positively after surgery.

Crack the code of patient falls

Article Abstract:

Nurse leaders can use data-driven research to create a patient's fall prevention program and adequately meet the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations' (JCAHO's) regulations while improving patient safety. A step-by-step model, which gives instructions on application of unit-specific date when implementing a fall prevention program, is presented.
