Seniors seeking health information need help crossing 'digital divide'

Article Abstract:

A national survey that the Kaiser Family Foundation released in January 2005 disclosed age gaps in Internet use to obtain health information, where only 21% of seniors visited online to find health information. Drew Altman, president of the Kaiser Family Foundation, stated that it would take collaborative efforts from community organizations, libraries, media companies, and Web sites themselves to help seniors become more educated health care consumers by crossing the digital divide.
