Separating personal loss from the death of a patient

Article Abstract:

Effective teamwork, communication, and support are important for a more positive, therapeutic approach toward patients, and discussing individual experience and feelings with members of the team help compensate for personal losses. In order to develop in palliative care, nurses must confront their own mortality and become comfortable with the meaning of death.

Evaluation of a cardiac surgery advanced life support course

Article Abstract:

An emergency situation following a cardiac arrest in a patient requires chest reopening, while nurses manage cardiac arrest they are not trained to open chests, which can be a life-saving action if performed efficiently. A three-day cardiac surgery advanced life support course is evaluated to determine protocols to manage critically ill cardiac patients.
