Two-year clinical evaluation of a packable resin-based composite

Article Abstract:

SureFil packable resin-based composite from Dentsply appears to be acceptable for filling cavities in back teeth, according to a study of 36 patients. When resin-based composites were first introduced in the 1970s, they were not packable, making it difficult to use them in back teeth. For this reason, many dentists would use amalgam in back teeth. In this study, 96% of the fillings lasted at least two years.
