Should we protect the identity of jurors in criminal trials? 95 percent say yes

Article Abstract:

The minority of respondents who said that jurors should not remain anonymous felt that such anonymity could prejudice a jury against defendants. Ninety percent of respondents would feel safer as anonymous furors. Fear of criminals and potential retribution is discussed.

The human-organ shortage: should we pay for donated organs? 79 percent say no

Article Abstract:

Eighty-two percent of respondents felt that organ donation should be an act of generosity, but 21% felt that the shortage warranted paying families who authorized donations. Eighty-six percent said they would want their organs donated if they died in accidents.

Are home HIV tests a good idea? 75 percent say yes

Article Abstract:

Three-fourths of respondents believe that home test kits should be FDA approved, and half feel that telephone counseling is as good as counseling in person. Sixty-eight percent felt they would be more likely to take the test if they could do so at home.
