Sleep and aging

Article Abstract:

Aging causes three types of changes that may affect one's sleep, namely normal changes in sleep patterns, changes in activity and changes in health. An aged person requires the same amount of sleep as a young man, and proper identification and treatment of his sleepless or restless nights can help him revert to his normal sleep pattern.

Insomnia

Article Abstract:

Many people believe that aging alone prevents an individual from getting a good night's sleep, but this may not necessarily be the case. Tips on getting to sleep include exercising, avoiding naps and staying away from caffeine. Sleeping pills are also discussed.
