Article Abstract:

Non-smokers who are more common in healthy populations than among lung cancer patients and the association of cigarette smoking with lung cancer are studied. It confirms that smokers show higher mortality than non-smokers, a progressive and significant reduction in mortality with the increase in the length of time over when smoking is given up and the magnitude of the effect of cigarette smoking far outweighs all other factors.

Article Abstract:

A distinct subgroup of the non-Hodgkin's lymphoma diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), which is called primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBL) can be identified through gene-expression and can be used in the accurate diagnosis of DLBCL. Patients suffering from DLBCL could be given proper treatment and new treatments targeting DLBCL could be developed by molecular diagnosis of PMBL.

Vaccine-induced tumor-specific immunity despite severe B-cell depletion in mantle cell lymphoma

Article Abstract:

Immune responses to a well-characterized idiotype vaccine in individuals with severe B-cell depletion but normal T cells after CD20-specific antibody-based chemotherapy of mantle cell lymphoma in first remission are assessed. Humoral antigen- and tumor-specific responses are detectable but delayed, and they correlated with peripheral blood B-cell recovery.
