Students of hardship

Article Abstract:

Student nurses need to feel valued by both society and their work colleagues to ensure they will stay in the job and prevent the nurses shortages becoming more serious. Student nurses often have to take part-time employment to make up a shortfall in their pay, making it extremely difficult to have any form of social life, which in turn makes them overly tired and open to mistakes on the wards. The job of nursing is very satisfying but job satisfaction is not the only reason for staying in a job.

Own up to envy: it's best for us all

Article Abstract:

Job promotion, good looks and an ambitious attitude within the nursing profession may arouse feelings of jealously and envy from other nurses, resulting in a successful nurse being made to feel insecure about wishing to do well. Nurses should consider their own feelings of jealously towards successful nurses, who may also blessed with attractive features and a quick brain. Open lines of communication may help overcome negative feelings, which will reduce stress on both groups of nurses.
