The US Supreme Court stated that abortion protestors canEt be held accountable under federal Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). The protestors would be governed by the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act, which prohibits people from interfering with, intimidating or threatening patients or medical service professionals.

Court squashes plan for Medicare prescription drug card

The Federal Court for the District of Columbia refused the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to go forward with revised plans to create a Medicare prescription drug discount card program. The court stated that the plan went beyond what CMS and the Health and Human Services Dept. were authorized to do under the Medicare Act.
