Born to nurse

Article Abstract:

Three generations of nurses discuss their careers in nursing. Great grandmother Stella Paterson was taken ill during her nursing training and was disappointed not to continue with nursing. She recalls that her daughter Gloria was only three when she decided to become a nurse, and her granddaughter, Helen took up nursing straight from school. Grandmother Gloria recalls the major changes in nursing over the years, and mother Hellie Hood notes how practices have changed.
