Several precedents exist for successful private-public partnerships. Merck's donation of ivermectin for treating river blindness was facilitate by the Task Force for Child Survival and Development. The Harvard School of Public Health will post documents from a conference on private-public partnerships on its website.

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the endothelial-cell cyclooxygenase-2. The inhibition of this cyclooxygenase by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs has been investigated and the results indicate that the inhibition suppresses (alpha)V(beta)3-dependent small GTPases Cdc42 and Rac activation.
