Article Abstract:

Midas International director of safety George Swartz has been personally and professionally involved in many efforts to promote safe working environments. Swartz has served as a member or an official of several safety organizations, namely, the National Safety Council, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the Environmental Resource Institute and Project Safe Illinois. Swartz believes that his membership in safety organizations has broadened his knowledge and increased his effectiveness as the director of safety for Midas International.

When the hygienists go marching in

Article Abstract:

About 51 occupational and environmental health issues will be discussed during the annual American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition slated on May 15-21, 1993 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. The theme of the conference,which is expected to attract more than 10,000 attendees, is 'Alliances: Leadingthe Way Together.' More than 200 different educational programs and more than 525 scientific papers will be covered during the event.

Kansas City corrals Industrial Hygiene Conference

Article Abstract:

The American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) and the American Industrial Hygiene Assn. (AIHA) held the 55th annual American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition on May 20-26, 1995, in Kansas City, MO. The H. Roe Bartle Hall was the site of the conference technical program and exposition. A summary of the various conference and exposition activities and a description of the attractions in Kansas City are presented.
