Neurogenic cells in human amniotic fluid

Article Abstract:

An attempt is made to determine whether human amniotic fluid contains cells that harbor the potential to differentiate into neurogenic cells. Cells expressing markers for neuronal stem and progenitor cells are found in human amniotic fluid and harbor the potential to differentiate into neurogenic cells.

Increased breath markers of oxidative stress in normal pregnancy and in preeclampsia

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted to compare the intensity of oxidative stress in normal pregnancy, preeclampsia and nonpregnant women using a breath test. A breath test significantly indicates greater oxidative stress in women with preeclampia than in uncomplicated pregnancy and nonpregnant control subjects.
