Annualized hours, part-time working, term-time working, self-rostering, job sharing and graduated retirement are some of the options in the NHS' new commitment to flexible working. The impact of these flexible working hours on the nurses is discussed.

Judging the body politic

Article Abstract:

The work of the pay review body for UK nurses is discussed. It is argued that nurses have lost their negotiating rights and that it is now time to re-establish nurses' collective power.
